*** open to everyone – you don’t have to be a gymnast***

A fantastic course involving aerial tissu and rope skills, static trapeze and ring, acrobatic balancing and tumbling, groupand partner work, object manipulation (juggling balls, scarves, clubs, staff, poi, hoops and more); unicycle, rollabola andstilts. Although you don.t have to be a gymnast to give it a go, a good level of strength and fitness will help you make themost of this course. You will have the thrill of presenting some very exciting and spectacular work after only one weekwith the most supportive of tutors!

Deborah Pope trained in circus in Paris and London. She has worked with companies around the world, choreographing for film, television,opera and theatre, including Faust for the RSC, and directing large scale events for The Docklands International Festival, The Guildhall, TheCircus Space, Cambridge Corn Exchange and Covent Garden.

In New Zealand for the past six years, her company Awkward Productions has created and produced The Wellington Circus Festival, Chills nThrills Petone, Adagio, Seriously Sophisticated Circus, (Chapmann Tripp award), Adagio Christmas, Deadly and Grimace.

Deborah is a founder member of The Wellington Circus Trust and has created and directed The Wellington Youth Circus which performsregularly in Wellington.
