Stage Combat

"Lights, camera, ACTION!” Stage combat is the art of performing fight scenes: battles, duels, skirmishes and brawls are all part of a day's work for the skilled actor/combatant. The only rules are safety and storytelling through exciting action. Oh, and everyone has to have fun!

Tony Wolf is based in the USA & travels the world as a stage combat/physical theatre tutor, fight director & stunt co-ordinator. His credits include serving as the "Cultural Fighting Styles Designer" for the Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

Assistant Allan Henry is a Hawke’s Bay lad, Graduate of Toi Whakaari, ex-NYDS student and now very busy in Wellington Theatre scene especially with innovative, devised Physical Drama.

Josh Wolf is based in Wellington and is the owner of Wolf Workshops, a company specialising in teaching performance skills (hip hop and stage combat) to help "at-risk" youth. He has also recently staged fight scenes for Centrepoint Theatre.
