Advanced Acting
For those looking towards a career in acting for stage or screen or wanting to prepare for tertiary training auditions.

Circus Skills
Open to everyone – you don’t have to be a gymnast! You will have the thrill of presenting some very exciting and spectacular work after only one week!

Directing
We will cover investigating the basics of directing, articulating your own directing style, leading the creative rehearsal room, and tools for coaching actors.

Playwriting
Students will explore the basics of plot and character development, scene structure, theme and dialogue, and will touch on production considerations and the role of the dramaturg.

Songwriting
Write songs from scratch in a supportive, collaborative environment for the entire week.

Technical Stream
Both classes (beginners and advanced) include light and sound rigging, plotting, show operation, stage management, design elements, and more!
Home Groups & Tasters
If you are placed in a “Home Group” you will be in this class for the bulk of the week but will also be allocated an afternoon “Taster” class (also based on your rankings), which you will attend on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

With its roots in physical comedy and being alive to the audience, clowning celebrates spontaneity, failure and vulnerability – foundational skills for any creative art.

Dance & Choreo
Get ready to move and create in this hands-on dance class led by a full-time member of a professional dance company.

Dare to do Shakespeare
This course will concentrate on the simplicity of Shakespeare. His scripts give the actor all the clues needed to create the character and the drama.

Drag School
Extravagance, fierceness, glamour, glitter and self-expression. Drag School is an intensely fun week of lip sync, dance, clowning, makeup, and character and costume design.

Improv Comedy
Learn to embrace the fear and freedom of acting without a script, how to trust your instincts and find the comedy, tension and game of a scene with your fellow performers.

Students in our popular Musical Theatre class will unite with kindred spirits from across Aotearoa as they get put through their singing, acting and dancing paces.
